Just installed Server 2008 R2 trial on my home PC as a VHD so I can dual boot with W7 and complete the Hyper-V and SCVMM hands on modules. The whole process was really quick and took little to no time at all. Fingers crossed as long as toothache and flu hold off I’ll be hoping to bang out another few chapters this weekend !

I’m about 1/3 of the way through the book, most of it up to now has been old hat but there have been lots of interesting points which have certainly made me re-evaluate a few of the methods of planning a deployment.
